LOGISTICS OFFICER – ABL CONSTRUCTION LIMITED

We are a reputable and fast-growing construction company specializing in infrastructure development, building construction, and project management services. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistics Officer.

Position Details

• Position: Logistics Officer
• Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
• Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation, delivery, and distribution of construction materials and equipment to project sites.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
• Manage suppliers, transporters, and warehouse operations efficiently.
• Track shipments and ensure materials arrive on schedule and in good condition.
• Prepare logistics reports, delivery schedules, and inventory records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transport regulations.
• Coordinate with procurement, finance, and project teams to support smooth operations.
• Optimize transportation routes and logistics costs.
• Handle documentation related to deliveries, dispatch, and stock movements.
• Monitor fuel usage, vehicle maintenance schedules, and fleet performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Transport Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics, transport coordination, or supply chain operations.
• Experience in the construction industry is an added advantage.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics software is an added advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Valid driving license is an added advantage.
