Role Overview & Reporting Line
Reporting directly to the Human Resource Manager, the HR Associate will assist in coordinating generalist HR functions across the organization. Key areas of focus include recruitment and onboarding, performance management, employee relations, learning & development, payroll coordination, and employee records administration.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding: Facilitate recruitment workflows including approvals, placing vacancy ads, initial candidate shortlisting, interviewing, documentation, and staff induction.

Employee Relations & Welfare: Drive employee engagement initiatives, staff meetings, and social events to promote positive workplace culture.

HR Administration & Systems: Maintain 100% accurate and up-to-date staff files and HR system records.

Performance Management: Assist in facilitating performance appraisals, scorecard tracking, and ensuring updated job descriptions across departments.

Learning & Development: Collate training needs from appraisals, monitor learning programs, and coordinate the execution of the annual staff training calendar.

Payroll Processing: Collaborate with the HR Manager and Group Payroll office to initiate monthly payroll updates and submit statutory payroll returns to relevant authorities.

Policy Guidance & Culture: Advise employees on HR policies and procedures while supporting the organization’s culture change initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Diploma in Human Resource Management is an added advantage.

Experience: 2 to 4 years of practical experience in generalist HR management.

Strong understanding of Tanzanian labor laws, statutory payroll compliance, and regulatory standards.
