The Kenya National Examinations Council supervises national examinations across Kenya. Its chairman, as of now, is Professor John Onsati. The council was founded in 1980, based on the Kenya National Examinations Council Act Cap 225A of the Laws of Kenya.

1. USING SMS CODE 20076
This method is the quickest way to access your results. For the KCPE Results 2023, candidates should:
- Send an SMS with your Index Number to 20076.
- Ensure the message format is: IndexNumberKCPE (without spaces and with “KCPE” in capital letters).
- This service is available on Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom networks.
- Each SMS costs Sh.25. Only send the message after the official announcement of the results.
2. USING KNEC ONLINE PORTAL
Follow these steps:
- Go to KNEC Portal.
- Click on the KCPE Results tab.
- Choose the year of your exam.
- Input your Index number.
- Press the Submit button.
- Your results will be displayed after a short moment.

Visiting Your Previous Primary School
You can also obtain your KCPE results by visiting your past primary school a day after the official result announcement.
