Job Purpose
The Housekeeping Manager acts as the operational cornerstone for cleanliness, sanitation standards, and guest room presentation at Riu Jambo. Leading a dynamic, multi-cultural team, this role manages daily housekeeping, laundry, and public area operations, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and global RIU service protocols.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Housekeeping & Laundry Operations:
-
Direct daily operations across guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities to uphold 5-star resort presentation standards.

Partner with Front Office and Maintenance departments to streamline room turnarounds and prompt facility repairs.

Maintain uncompromising standards of sanitation, hygiene, and room aesthetics.

Team Leadership & Performance:

Lead, mentor, and motivate a large, multi-cultural housekeeping team in a fast-paced environment.

Conduct regular continuous improvement training, performance evaluations, and team development programs.

Financial Control & Inventory Management:
-
Manage departmental budgets, operating costs, linen controls, and chemical/cleaning supply inventories.

Optimize resource utilization and minimize waste to achieve financial profitability without compromising operational quality.

Sustainability & Compliance:

Implement eco-friendly housekeeping practices in line with RIU’s Proudly Committed sustainability initiative.

Uphold local health regulations, occupational safety standards, and global RIU SOPs.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications
Education & Experience:
-
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Certificate in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.

Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive management experience as a Housekeeping Manager or Senior Housekeeping Leader within a 5-star or luxury all-inclusive resort.
