Position: GW Greenhouse Maintenance (Roster Recruitment)

Reports to: Technical Supervisor (Greenhouse construction & repair) 

Position Type:Staff Position

Job Location: Arusha, Tanzania

Objective of the Role: Supports the upkeep and functionality of greenhouse structures by assisting in construction, conducting routine maintenance, and performing preventive repairs on equipment and systems. The role ensures timely reporting of issues and compliance with health, safety, and farm protocols to maintain optimal growing conditions.

Main activities:

• Assist in the construction of new greenhouses and related infrastructure.
• Participate in routine greenhouse maintenance tasks, including repairs and inspections.
• Report problems related to greenhouse equipment and systems promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on greenhouse systems and tools to ensure proper functioning.
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations, company operating procedures, and farm protocols.

Specific Tasks:

• Help in the assembly, installation, and construction of new greenhouses and related facilities.
• Perform maintenance checks, minor repairs, and necessary replacements of greenhouse structures and systems.
• Assist in identifying and executing preventive maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment and systems are well-maintained.
• Comply with GSPP and farm protocols and assist in ensuring all operations follow established safety and operational standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A Relevant Technical Diploma / Certificate from an accredited College/University.
• Relevant  experience of not less than 5 years.
• Experience in a farm or the agricultaral sector is an added advantage
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have proficient skills in both English and Swahili languages.
