Background

ABA Alliance Advisory Limited has been contracted by our client in the Manufacturing Industry to recruit for the role of Group Head of Sales and Marketing to oversee the implementation of the sales and marketing strategy and lead the team responsible for sales and marketing activities.

Therefore, our client wishes to hire an experienced, self-motivated, dynamic and highly competent individual with exemplary ethical conduct to be part of the team as the Group Head of Sales and Marketing based in Dares Salaam.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities. Additionally, the role will entail integrating sales, marketing and manufacturing activities to ensure production matches the market demand.

Key responsibilities

• Research and review factors such as pricing, distribution and marketing communications and recommend strategies for product launches, entering new sectors or increasing market share.
• Collect and analyze data on markets, competitors and consumers to help advertising and marketing professionals make informed decisions about the best ways to approach markets.
• Handle internal and external communications: develop website content, plan and manage social media and public relations campaign, email campaigns and create print and online publications.
• Plan and manage events, such as conferences, seminars and exhibitions: write communication material, such as press releases, feature articles, brochure copy and website content.
• Monitor the Group’s marketing campaigns, ensuring staff (marketing team) meets deadlines and complete their targets timely.
• Develop marketing strategies for new products being introduced to the market

Requirements and skills

• Five years’ experience in manufacturing and fast- moving consumer goods firm
• Analytical mind and excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle high volume of work
• Integrity and impeccable work ethics
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or relevant field
