Position: Fulfillment Center Lead

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Reporting into: Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities

Coordinate end-to-end inventory management tasks within the fulfillment center i.e. Inbound, Outbound, Products Debrief, Cycle counts, and Housekeeping.
Perform quality checks on the inventory from the point of Inbound receiving, putaway, picking, and loading into the truck, and also the reverse logistics for undelivered items or Customer requests for returns
Ensure that products are accurately picked and loaded using scanning technology before the physical loading into the truck.
Notify all stakeholders upon suppliers’ deliveries to the fulfillment center (Ops, commercial, and finance).
Provide real-time information on any operational issues during their shift for quick resolution
Ensure lean operations by complying with the 5`s (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) principles
Ensure supplier returns are made according to the returns WI.
Responsible for accurate processing and receiving of inventory into the IMS (taking into account the quantities consistent with the purchase order and purchase receipt) and positioned in its correct location
Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of all inventory by coordinating routine cycle counts
Ensure that all the couriers undergo same-day product debrief before cash reconciliation.

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary education i.e. HND or B.Sc in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Business Development, Statistics or Engineering
2+ years’ experience in directly and indirectly managing people to deliver continuous improvement.
Preferred hands-on ERP systems experience in a busy e-commerce / distribution setup or WMS / IMS implementation consultant
You have in-depth knowledge of inventory management and housekeeping
Flexible to work either day or night shifts
