MakiniHR Solutions is hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Finance Officer / Finance Assistant based in Dar es Salaam! If you have a passion for finance and a desire to work in a dynamic environment, this role could be the perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and control budgets.
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
• Provide financial administrative support for the Business Unit.
• Handle financial, operational, and sales reporting with accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage Accounts Payables (AP) and Accounts Receivables (AR) transactions.
• Oversee banking transactions and reconcile bank accounts and the general ledger.
• Assist the Finance Manager with statutory compliance, risk, and governance matters.
• Collaborate with the Administration Officer to ensure effective administrative housekeeping.
• Manage customer accounts and handle financial communications.
• Support financial planning and management for the Business Unit.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• 3-5 years of extensive experience in Accounting & Finance within the FMCG environment.
• Strong numerical aptitude and analytical skills.
• Proven proficiency in Syspro, SAP, and MS Office (especially Excel).
• Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure.
• A solid understanding of the finance department process flows.

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Finance/Accounting, or any related Financial Accounting qualification.
