Rijk Zwaan is active worldwide as a vegetable breeding company that focuses on the development of high-quality vegetable varieties for professional growers. In Tanzania, Rijk Zwaan is active in seed production and breeding support (Rijk Zwaan Q-Sem, in Tengeru Arusha) and in breeding and product development (Rijk Zwaan Afrisem, in USA River, Arusha). Currently we have about 500 employees and as we continue to grow, we have the following vacancy for dedicated diligent Tanzanians:

Reports to: Administration Assistant

Job Summary: The Driver shall be responsible for the efficient and effective performance of duties and responsibilities pertaining to driving in the Administration Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

What does your day as a Driver at Rijk Zwaan Tanzania look like?

In this position, you are responsible for:

• Drive Rijk Zwaan vehicles
• Responsible for safekeeping of the vehicle and tools entrusted to him/her
• Maintains disciplined behavior and proper conduct in rendering services to his/her assignees
• Maintains cleanliness of the vehicle and tools
• Carryout minor mechanical repairs
• Performs messenger duties such as dispatching documents/letters, collecting mail
• Maintains logbooks
• Reports promptly any defect or problems detected in the vehicl
• Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Qualification & Experience

• ​Holder of Form IV/VI Secondary Education with passes in Kiswahili and English.
• He/She must have a valid Class C Driving License /Drivers Grade II Certificate from recognized
• Institutions such as NIT or VETA will be an added advantage
• At least 2 years working experience in a similar field.

Salary Scale: Staff salary rank is according to the Rijk Zwaan Scheme of Services.

Tenure: Permanent Contract
