Job Summary:
Kamiwa Fashions & Tailoring is seeking a skilled and creative Designer & Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and tailoring a variety of clothing styles, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. This role requires a combination of creativity, technical sewing skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced fashion environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and create stylish and trendy clothing for customers based on fashion trends and client requests.
- Cut, sew, and tailor garments to fit customers perfectly, ensuring high-quality finishing.
- Take accurate measurements and make necessary garment alterations.
- Develop unique clothing designs, patterns, and samples for clients and store collections.
- Advise customers on fabric selection, styles, and fitting options.
- Ensure proper maintenance of sewing machines, tools, and workspace.
- Keep up with the latest fashion trends and incorporate them into designs.
- Work closely with clients to understand their specific tailoring and design needs.
- Maintain quality control by inspecting finished products to ensure they meet Kamiwa Fashions & Tailoring standards.
- Manage time effectively to complete orders within deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in fashion design and tailoring.
- Ability to create patterns and cut fabric accurately.
- Proficiency in using sewing machines and tailoring tools.
- Strong understanding of garment construction and fabric properties.
- Creativity and innovation in fashion design.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and precision in tailoring.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Requirements:
- Diploma or certificate in Fashion Design, Tailoring, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Previous experience working in a tailoring shop or fashion house.
- Knowledge of embroidery or additional garment enhancement techniques is a plus.
