Job Title: Data Science Training Consultant (Contract)

About the Role

CVPeople Tanzania is seeking an experienced Data Science Training Consultant to design and facilitate a 23-week hybrid bootcamp program. The consultant will deliver localized training in Python, data analysis, and machine learning, mentor capstone projects focused on Tanzanian challenges, and provide career readiness support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery: Design and facilitate hybrid in-person/online data science modules using open-source, East African datasets.

• Project Mentorship: Guide participants through real-world capstone projects solving local industry problems.

• Career Coaching: Deliver professional development workshops on CV writing, interview skills, and LinkedIn profile optimization.

• Program Operations: Support candidate selection, onboarding, post-bootcamp follow-ups, and contribute to Open Educational Resources (OER) on LMS platforms.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in ICT/digital skills training, with at least 3 years dedicated to data science curriculum delivery.

• Deep understanding of industry-level AI skills, AI ethics, data protection, and data feminism principles.

• Experience using Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle, atingi).

• Complete fluency in written and spoken Swahili and English.
