Job Title: Artificial Intelligence Training Consultant (Contract)

About the Role 

CVPeople Tanzania is seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence Training Consultant to lead a 23-week hybrid training program in Dar es Salaam. The consultant will design and deliver a practical, localized AI curriculum, embed responsible AI and ethical frameworks, mentor real-world industry capstone projects, and connect participants with Tanzania’s broader AI ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Design & Delivery: Facilitate hybrid learning modules on Machine Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, IoT, Generative AI, and Prompt Engineering adapted for the Tanzanian context.

• Ethics & Responsible AI: Embed instruction on AI ethics, responsible AI frameworks, data feminism, open-source AI, and environmental sustainability.

• Ecosystem & Industry Collaboration: Coordinate with local industry partners for capstone project alignment, internship placements, and organize excursions to local AI ecosystem hubs.

• Educational Assets: Create and upload course content and Open Educational Resources (OER) to digital LMS platforms (Moodle/atingi).

Candidate Requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

• At least 5 years of experience in AI or Data Science training, including 3+ years designing programs tailored for women or marginalized groups.

• Minimum 3 years of project experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, including at least 2 years of local experience in Tanzania.

• Hands-on familiarity with LMS platforms (Moodle, atingi) and industry-aligned AI ethics standards.

• Full professional fluency in both Swahili and English.
