About the Role

CCBRT is seeking an experienced, strategic Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to lead and optimize all purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and distribution activities across Tanzania’s largest local provider of disability, rehabilitation, and maternal healthcare services. Reporting to the COO, the post-holder will ensure transparent, ethical, and efficient procurement operations that maximize value for money.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Procurement Leadership: Review and refine procurement policies, implement industry best practices, and set clear KPIs to streamline purchasing processes.

• Supply Chain & Inventory Oversight: Supervise warehouse operations, inventory management, stock availability, and accountable distribution of medical and administrative supplies.

• Compliance & Risk Management: Enforce strict adherence to internal, statutory, and donor procurement regulations; manage supplier contracts and operational risk.

• Capacity Building: Train and mentor procurement staff, driving cross-functional collaboration and a culture of integrity, innovation, and accountability.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Mandatory registration with PSPTB (Authorized Supplies Officer or Stock Verifier status required).

• At least 8 years of progressive leadership experience in procurement and supply chain management (Health/NGO background preferred).

• Proven expertise in SAP or related enterprise software, contract negotiations, and financial risk control.

• Excellent bilingual communication skills (English and Swahili).
