Position: Branch Operations Officer
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Key Responsibilities
1. Branch Operations & Compliance
- Oversee daily branch operations.
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and operational controls.
2. Customer Service & Client Relations
- Deliver excellent customer service and promptly respond to client inquiries.
- Support customer needs and issue timely payment reminders to reduce default risks.
3. Loan Processing & Transaction Management
- Support end-to-end loan application processing.
- Manage branch transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan disbursements.
4. Financial Reporting & Record Management
- Prepare and reconcile financial statements and records.
- Contribute to branch performance reports and analysis of key metrics.
5. Teamwork & Operational Efficiency
- Collaborate with branch staff to improve workflows.
- Promote operational efficiency and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Banking and Finance.
- 1–2 years of experience as an accountant with strong financial knowledge.
- Proven customer service experience with excellent communication skills.
- Experience in a microfinance institution or bank is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and great attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software.
