VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: ASSISTANT TECHNICIAN (1 POST)

DURATION: FULLTIME 

JOB SUMMARY.

To install, maintain, and repair solar power systems and CCTV/security systems, ensuring reliable performance, safety, and compliance with company standards. The role provides technical support for both renewable energy and surveillance infrastructure.

Key responsibilities 

1. Install, test, and commission solar panels, inverters, batteries, and wiring.
2. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
3. Train end-users on system usage and basic troubleshooting.
4. Install, service, and maintain electrical, solar, and CCTV/security systems.
5. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Solar Systems: PV panels, inverters, batteries, charge controllers; off-grid, grid-tied, and hybrid systems; preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Basic CCTV Systems: Installation, cabling, DVR/NVR setup, and troubleshooting.
• Electrical & Safety: Wiring, load calculations, and compliance with safety standards.
• Computer Skills: MS Office (Excel, Word), solar monitoring software, and basic networking.
• Communication: Ability to explain technical issues clearly, teamwork, and customer service.
• Hardworking and reliable.
• Strong problem-solving mindset.
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel.
• Quick learner, adaptable to new technologies

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related technical field.
• Training in Solar PV installation & maintenance.
• Electrical installation certification added advantage
