Rift Valley Cooperative Union (RIVACU LTD) is a Secondary Cooperative Union  based in Babati, Manyara region. RIVACU Ltd was registered in 1988 under the  Cooperative Act of 1984. RIVACU LTD is currently operating under the Co operative Societies Act No 06 of 2013. 

RIVACU Ltd wishes to invite all suitable and qualified Tanzanian to apply and fill  the following available vacancy:

ASSISTANT AGRICULTURAL FIELD EXTENSION OFFICER (1 Vacancy) Nature and Scope 

The successful candidate will report to the General Manager. She/He will be  responsible to supervise and manage sales at the RIVACU Agricultural Inputs  Outlet. S/he will also be responsible for provision of extension services to member for best agricultural production and enhanced agri-productivity. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Supervise sales of farm inputs at RIVACU’s Agricultural Inputs Outlet; 
• Keeping a record of sales and restocking the stock accordingly;
• Advice Farmers and Members on proper use of Agricultural inputs (pesticides,  fertilizers, etc.); 
• Manage customer inquiries and respond accordingly to ensure customer  satisfaction through regular engagement;
• Planning promotional campaigns for new products at RIVACU outlet in  collaboration with Agricultural Input Companies/Stakeholders; 
•  Maintain cleanliness around the store premises;
•  Abide to standards for receiving and issuing stocks;
• Adhere to all health and safety procedure particularly relating to agricultural  inputs;
• Develop sales forecasts and plans; 
•  Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the  Supervisor. 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience: 

• Holder of Certificate in General Agriculture, Agricultural Field/Extension or  related field from a recognized institution; 
• Minimum of 1-year relevant experience in a related field or functions from a  reputable organization;
• A background on Agricultural Inputs sales engagement promotions of the  same will be an added advantage
