The draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (21 December 2025-18 January 2026) in Morocco has been confirmed.

All but two of the 52 Confederation of African Football (CAF) member took part in qualifying for AFCON 2025.
Following the preliminary round, 48 teams were divided into 12 groups of four, playing home and away in a total of six matches, where the top two teams from each group qualified.
The tournament will take place in six cities over four weeks, but there can only be one nation crowned the kings of Africa.
AFCON 2025 gets underway on 21 December 2025 when Morocco will host Comoros at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The 24 teams have been drawn into six groups of four, where they will play a round-robin format of three matches in the group stage.
As the top two teams automatically qualify for the knockout stages, the third-placed teams will compete for the remaining spots. Of the six teams who finish third, the best four will make up the rest of the numbers in the round of 16.
From then on, it is a straight knockout tournament up to the AFCON 2025 final on 18 January 2026
