Position: Accounting Clerk

Location: Dar es salaam

Reporting to: Finance Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will support financial operations by ensuring accurate processing of financial data, maintaining accounting records, and assisting in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Cashbook Management

• Reconcile and process cashbooks daily
• Manage cash cards and fleet cards reconciliation

Accounts Payable

• Process invoices and payment batches accurately
• Handle winner payments and e-commerce withdrawals
• Maintain proper filing and resolve supplier queries

Accounts Receivable

• Issue invoices and manage debtor aging
• Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve customer queries

E-commerce & General Finance

• Ensure compliance with AML/FIC requirements
• Manage wallet withdrawals and call center tickets
• Support reporting, audits, and special finance projects

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

• Diploma in Accounting or related field
• Minimum 2 years accounting experience

Preferred:

• 3+ years accounting experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP)
• Experience with Sage Pastel Partner
• Intermediate MS Excel skills
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills
• Good communication and time management skills
• Proficiency in Business English (additional African languages are a plus)
