JOB OPPOETUNITY AT GAS ENTEC CO LTD

PROJECT TITLE: CONSTRUCTION OF 1200 PASSENGER FERRY SHIP

DESIGNATION: PROCUREMENT OFFICER (2 POST)

PLACE OF WORK: MWANZA

JOB SUMMARY:

Procurement is responsible for acquisition, coordination, facilitation of goods, services, logistics and reporting, invoice management and purchase requests processing under supervision and guidance from the Procurement Manager

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate Procurement of goods and tool as per requirement
• To process daily purchase requests in accordance to the company procurement procedure under the guidance of the Procurement Manager.
• Ensure that all procurement is done using the agreed terms & conditions and is done in transparency.
• Ensuring that accurate and detailed specifications are submitted in writing prior to initiation of purchasing and coordinates the efficient pickup and delivery of purchases.
• Conduct negotiation to obtain value for money
• Follow up on delivery of ordered goods and services on time.
• Monitoring of the re-order level of materials required for the project and ensuring timely availability as per agreed schedules.
• Maintain records of goods ordered and received, ensuring all procurement documentation is appropriately filed.
• Preparing weekly and monthly procurement reports for management review.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Head of Department/Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management / Stores Management / Supply chain / related field
• Driving license is mandatory
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
• An energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and appropriate professional image.
• An extremely well organized and self-directed individual with sound technical skilled, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.
• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
• Fluent in English language.
• Good communication skills
