Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Grants and Finance Officer – AHADI will oversee the financial management, budget monitoring, partner sub-grant management, procurement alignment, and asset/fleet oversight for the AHADI project in accordance with donor and World Vision guidelines.

Finance, Budget, Fixed Asset & Fleet Management (40%): Track expenditures against approved budget lines; ensure all project costs are allowable, allocable, and reasonable; update the fixed asset register; supervise drivers and manage project fleet operations.

Partner Sub-Grant Management (30%): Conduct financial capacity assessments and training for local sub-grantees; review monthly financial reports/retirements from partners and post them into the accounting system to maintain steady burn rates.

Payment Processing & Disbursements (15%): Facilitate timely, accurate disbursements to vendors, sub-partners, and beneficiaries.

Procurement & Compliance Tracking (5%): Monitor project procurement plans and ensure complete documentation for all financial transactions.

Time Tracking & Payroll Distribution (5%): Support project staff with monthly timesheet submissions and labor distribution report filings.

Audit Facilitation (5%): Assist internal and external audit teams and support timely responses to audit queries.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Professional accounting certification (CPA(T) or ACCA) is an added advantage.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in donor-funded project accounting, grants, and partner management.

At least 1 year of financial management experience within an International NGO (INGO) environment is preferred.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized accounting software (e.g., SunSystems).

Proven expertise in grant administration, budget preparation, financial analysis, and reporting.

Strong skills in partner sub-grant oversight and financial capacity building.

Prior experience in staff/fleet supervision and procurement compliance tracking.
