Position: Plumber (Roster Recruitment)

Reports to: Technical Manager 

Position Type:Staff Position

Job Location: Arusha, Tanzania

Objective of the Role: To ensure all plumbing systems inside and outside the greenhouses are in optimal working condition by performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Main activities:

• Participate in problem identification related to plumbing systems and technical areas
• Assist in the repair and maintenance of pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing tools and equipment according to the maintenance schedule
• Identify and recommend suitable spare parts, tools, and equipment for maintenance and repair.

Specific Tasks:

• Participate in diagnosing plumbing issues and ensure proper follow-up
• Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures as per specifications and plumbing codes
• Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify plumbing faults and report accordingly.
• Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts required for plumbing tasks.
• Adhere to safety regulations and propose improvements to existing protocols if necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A Relevant Technical Diploma / Certificate from an accredited College/University.
• Relevant  experience of not less than 5 years.
• Experience in a farm or the agricultaral sector is an added advantage
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have proficient skills in both English and Swahili languages.
