The Communications Officer will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our positioning strategy.
Recruitment profile: Communications Officer Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive communication and visibility strategies
Support and enhance documentation of projects.
Lead and train teams on effective communications practices
Manage and coordinate events to enhance organizational visibility
Create engaging content for various internal and external platforms to promote our work and impact.
Position details
Commitment: Full-time role
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania with the possibility of occasional travel
Expected Starting Date: As soon as possible
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Politics, International Relations, or Business Administration.
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in PR and Communications, Marketing, and Stakeholder Relationship Management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Swahili.
Proficient in the use of MS Office, social media applications and team communication platforms e.g. slack.
Proficiency in developing and managing strategic communication plans.
Ability to manage and coordinate events.
Strong leadership qualities and experience in team management.
Ability to collaborate effectively with and mobilize diverse stakeholders. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
