The incumbent will be stationed at our Tanzanian Headquarters in Dar Es Salaam.
The Logistics and Procurement Assistant supports the Logistics Coordinator and Supply chain team of the company and supervises the delivery of materials, equipment, and cargo between warehouse, SICPA Tanzania HQ, Ports/ Clients Stations
Key Accountabilities:
Assist the Procurement and Logistics Coordinator on the strategic planning for the supply chain department needs.
Assist the loading and monitoring filling and dispatching of RUM at the warehouse.
Coordinate, organize and preparation of daily loading sheets for RUM and submit to his/her supervisor for validation
Preparation of daily consumption of RUM per each batch and assist the Inventory Coordinator to reconcile the actual stock and SAP stock.
Supervises the RUM dispatchers and drivers during loading of RUM jerry cans and offloading of empty jerry cans from depots.
Assist in providing response capacity to the department during the absence of the procurement coordinator and other supply chain team members.
Assist with monitoring, tracking, and expediting all procurement activities and delivery status of goods/services.
Post Purchase Requisitions/Purchase Orders into SAP accurately and in a timely manner to ensure that all procurement requests are captured in the system and commitments for various procuring projects are recorded.
Prepare, verify, conduct appraisals, and confirm terms of agreement for vendors analysis in conformity to specified requirements (PRF).
Be responsible for stockroom (management and control supply stock and consumables to ensure there is no undue overstocking or loss (specific for mobile lab equipment)
Ensure that all logistics operations are accurately documented and arranged for secure and systematic filing of all logistics related documents.
Perform any other duties as assigned by direct supervisors
Knowledge and skills:
University Degree in Logistics & Procurement, Business Administration or a Higher Diploma in Procurement or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Minimum two (2) years relevant experience in a similar position, with specific focus on local/international procurement, clearing & forwarding, Government laws and regulations, fleet management & Inventory coordination
Fluency in English. Ability to pay close attention to details and work with minimal supervision.
Excellent computer skills especially MS Office and SAP.
