OVERVIEW:

The Global Health Supply Chain Program Technical Assistance-Tanzania (GHSC-TA-TZ) supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), provides expert technical assistance to Tanzania to strengthen country supply chain systems across all health elements, e.g., malaria, family planning (FP), HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis (TB) and Reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH). In coordination with in-country and development partners, GHSC-TA-TZ assists the Government of Tanzania by providing strategic planning and implementation assistance; improving the delivery of health commodities to service sites; providing capacity-building support to broaden stakeholders’ understanding and engagement of the supply chain system; and strengthening enabling environments to improve supply chain performance.

Performance and Analytics Consultant at USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program (GHSC)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Performance and Analytics consultant will support the Performance and Analytics workstream in achieving the workstream-related deliverables and project deliverables at large.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:

• Support the extraction and analysis of data from the eLMIS routinely and alert the project on areas in need of attention
• Update the tracker to ensure the project-tracked indicators are up-to-date across the years to show the trends
• Conduct deep-dive analyses of malaria supply chain data to identify and address the root causes for data discrepancies within and between the two systems – eLMIS and DHIS2
• Routine monitoring of the availability of the program-monitored commodities using data
• Support the workstream in field-related activities
• Attend project-related meetings and represent the workstream
• Assist the workstream in tracking the project deliverables
• Actively participate in discussions organized by the workstream related to project performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants for this position should be Tanzanian nationals or lawful residents who possess the following minimum qualifications:

• Extensive experience in health commodities supply chain i.e with three years or more senior management preferred
• Experience in using the eLMIS and other MIS such as DHIS2
• Data analysis and presentation skills including the use of Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience in working with MoH and PORALG
• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, master’s degree is an added advantage
