KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and implement the corporate communications annual calendar and workplan by tracking deliverables and measuring performance against defined metrics for both internal and external communications functions.
- Develop and maintain effective external communication strategies for the Bank and ensure alignment with corporate standards and optimize media visibility through proactive engagement with media and publicity platforms.
- Review and quality-check all external communications to ensure alignment with brand aspirations, maintain consistency in messaging, and uphold the Bank’s image across all touchpoints.
- Manage media relations and third-party communication providers, including maintaining a database of media contacts and agencies, overseeing service delivery, and preserving all communication materials for institutional memory.
- Monitor traditional and digital media platforms to identify potential reputational risks, while providing relevant performance reports to assess the effectiveness and impact of all communication initiatives.
- Lead the development of internal and External communication content across channels such as newsletters, intranet, emails, videos, and presentations, ensuring messaging is compelling and relevant to various internal audiences.
- Maintain and improve internal and External communication platforms and feedback mechanisms, ensuring timely updates, staff engagement, and continuous two-way communication across the Bank.
- Collaborate with internal and External stakeholders to gather updates, package information appropriately, and coordinate timely distribution across established internal and external channels, while also tracking performance metrics to assess communication ROI.
- Coordinate the implementation of KCB Group’s sustainability strategy, including integrating Social and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS), supporting internal stakeholders, and monitoring progress across sustainability initiatives.
- Manage the Group’s sustainability programs and reporting, including research, communication plans, stakeholder engagement, compliance reviews, and partnerships—while identifying opportunities for green initiatives and aligning with global sustainability frameworks.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Academic & Professional
Education
- Bachelor’s degree
- Communications/ public relations/ Arts, Social Sciences, Environmental studies or any relevant field
Professional Qualifications
- Sustainability Training & Environmental and Social Risk Training
Master’s degree
- Any Arts, Social Sciences or Business Administration
Experience
- Total Minimum No of Years Experience Required: 8
