About the Role

UBA Tanzania is seeking a versatile Software Developer to join our technology team in Dar es Salaam. This role bridges software engineering and business analysis, requiring a professional capable of translating business requirements into scalable software architecture, maintaining secure coding practices, and collaborating across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software Engineering & Quality Assurance: Design, write, and review maintainable code in languages such as Java, Python, or C#; participate in testing, debugging, and UAT validation.

• Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Partner with business stakeholders to document functional requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.

• Repository & Secure Coding Management: Enforce secure coding guidelines, manage version control repositories, and ensure minimal rework through precise feature implementation.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a technical liaison between business teams, UI/UX designers, and product managers within an Agile framework.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical/business fields.

• Demonstrated experience in software development and requirements analysis.

• High proficiency in core programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#), algorithms, and software design principles.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and code repository workflows.
