Mbeya Cement Company Limited a member of Afrocem Group is seeking to recruit a dynamic and results driven Treasury Accountant who will be based at Mbeya Plant under a permanent employment contract. The reporting line is to the Finance Manager.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationship with banks and rating agencies where applicable
- Set up all treasury processes and ensure that all minimum internal control measures related to treasury management are implemented
- Articulate short-term and long-term cash needs from operational activities, investments, dividends, etc. through a reliable treasury forecast for the company.
- Collect relevant information from the business and build reliable medium and short-term cash forecasts and communicate to the relevant parties, taking into account all the banking and investment solutions.
- Ensure cash movements adhere to our daily basis bank accounts are reconciled to report on movements and balances.
- Reconcile month and closing treasury data to accounting figures and resolve any discrepancy with General ledger.
- Financial risk management, yearly forecasting of FX exposure and monthly review of actual results
- Direct and hedging decision approval by the financial manager and provide rationale to Group for approval where applicable.
- Perform monthly bank account reconciliations on all bank accounts and ensure that the reconciliations are duly reviewed by the finance manager.
- Carry out the daily posting of all banking transactions in the respective bank accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA, ACCA, CIMA
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in manufacturing/ extractive industry
TECHNICAL/ BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- ERP System Literacy (SAP)
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- High attention to detail
- Good numerical skills
- Accountability
- Good Communication Skills
