The two quarter-final matches of the African Champions League were concluded tonight with the historic champions Al Ahly cutting the ticket after forcing a draw in Morocco against Raja Casablanca

Al Ahly won 2-0 in the first leg played in Egypt

Al Ahly joined Tunisia’s Esperance who also reached the semi-finals despite being forced to a 1-1 draw against JS Kbalylie

Esperance won 1-0 in the first leg in Algeria

Earlier yesterday, Mamelodi Sundowns reached the semi-finals with a 6-2 aggregate victory against CR Belouizdad

Mamelod won the second leg 2-1 to add to their 4-1 first leg win

Al Ahly, Mamelod and Esperance have been joined by Wydad Athletic who advanced to the semi-finals yesterday with a penalty shoot-out victory over Simba of Tanzania after Morocco drew 1-1 in both quarter-final matches.

Al Ahly will face Esperance in the semi-finals while Mamelodi will face Wydad Athletic
