JOB DESCRIPTION: TECHNICAL & PARTS MANAGER

We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and organized Technical & Parts Manager to oversee our parts departments. you will be responsible for managing the inventory, coordinating parts orders, ensuring timely delivery, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of parts management processes.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, automotive management,
Experience: Proven 3 years of experience in technical & parts management, preferably in the automotive industry
Location: Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Mbeya, Ausha

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of parts and accessories.
  • Coordinate parts orders, ensuring timely procurement and delivery.
  • Monitor and analyze parts sales data, identifying trends and adjusting inventory levels accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with parts inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Train and supervise parts department staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Implement and maintain efficient parts management processes and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new parts, and technological advancements.
  • Lead and manage a team of technical professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the achievement of departmental and company goals.
  • Develop and implement technical strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and timelines, ensuring successful project execution.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the technical team, providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and identifying opportunities for professional development.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the technical department, encouraging new ideas and implementing best practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, automotive management, or a related field
  • Proven 3 years of experience in technical / parts management, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of parts and accessories, including ordering, inventory control, and pricing.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage a fast-paced parts department.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and computer systems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
