Storeperson

Geita Gold Mine, Geita

Position purpose:

• Is to be an integral part of the warehousing function responsible for the operation of an efficient, safe and secure warehouse facility
• To ensure a high level of material availability to the various operational departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The safe operation of mobile equipment while loading and unloading materials and equipment.
• Efficient and accurate receiving and issuing of all warehouse materials.
• Accurate data entry into the Pronto ERP system.
• Conduct stocktakes as directed ensuring a high-count accuracy.
• Reporting of all stock discrepancies to supervisor.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the warehouse and external storage areas.
• Compliance with AUMS company policies, procedures and standards.

Essential Requirements:

• Forklift, Integrated Tool Carrier and Telehandler certificate or competency.
• Current Tanzanian driver’s license.
• Experienced in the use of Pronto or other ERP system.
• A minimum of three years’ experience working in a warehouse environment in the mining industry.
• Completion of secondary school.
• Advanced numeracy and literacy skills. Being fluent in both Swahili and English..
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiar in the use of the Microsoft suite of programmes.
