On behalf of our client, we are looking for a social media manager and travel consultant who will be responsible to do the following :

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy.
  • Create and curate engaging content across all social media platforms.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media content with overall marketing strategies.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a sense of community.
  • Collaborate with influencers and engage in cross-promotional activities.
  • Monitor social media trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Regularly update and manage profiles on platforms like Tripadvisor, Safari Bookings, and GMB.
  • Assist clients in planning and booking their travel experiences with our client’s company.
  • Provide detailed information on tour packages, destinations, and itineraries.
  • Handle inquiries and provide exceptional customer service via email and phone.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel trends, destinations, and company offerings.
  • Ensure all travel arrangements meet the company’s high standards.
  • Work with the videographer/photographer to capture high-quality visuals of safari experiences.
  • Utilize and coordinate content provided by safari guides to create authentic behind-the-scenes posts.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team for special promotions, campaigns, and announcements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva).
  • Video editing skills with experience in creating short-form video content (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms and their algorithms.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging and on-brand content.
  • Experience in community management and influencer collaborations.
  • Analytical skills to interpret social media data and make informed decisions.
  • Passion for travel, adventure, and wildlife.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally for on-site content creation in Tanzania.
  • Experience in the travel or hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of SEO and content marketing.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).

Requirements

  • Based in Arusha, Tanzania.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Ability to work full-time.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Passion for travel and tourism.
  • Prior experience in social media management is required, while training will be provided for the travel consultancy role.
