Simplepay Capital Financial Services Tanzania Ltd is a growing microfinance business in Tanzania.
The company is looking for a meticulous, trustworthy, and highly organized Credit Administration Officer to manage client documentation, loan and investor paperwork, collections support, and filing systems for the Title Loans Office.
This is a detail-critical role that directly supports lending and compliance operations. Candidates who are easily overwhelmed by paperwork, numbers, or repetitive structured tasks are advised not to apply.
Key responsibilities
Client and loan documentation
The Credit Administration Officer will be responsible for handling client, borrower, and investor documentation.
Duties will include:
- Collecting and verifying clients’ IDs, TINs, and proof of address.
- Preparing Letters of Offer, Corporate Guarantees, Personal Guarantees, and Loan Agreements for borrowers.
- Preparing Personal Guarantees, Corporate Guarantees, and Loan Agreements for investors.
- Liaising with solicitors throughout the documentation and legal review process.
- Creating and maintaining accurate statements for both borrowers and investors.
Collections and accounts support
The officer will support collections and accounts-related activities by performing the following duties:
- Supporting collection efforts and calls for the accounts receivable portfolio.
- Documenting daily collections activity.
- Researching account disputes and billing discrepancies.
- Preparing, filing, and retrieving Withholding Tax statements.
- Performing account and payment reconciliations.
- Responding to credit inquiries from internal and external clients.
- Assisting the Operations Manager in identifying delinquent accounts requiring external collection.
- Assisting the Operations Manager in identifying bad debt or financial exposure.
Records and filing management
The Credit Administration Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate and well-organized filing systems. Duties will include:
- Creating, labeling, and updating physical and digital files.
- Ensuring files, whether digital or paper-based, are stored in their correct locations.
- Gathering, organizing, and coding documentation from various sources.
- Printing, photocopying, delivering records, and sending emails as required.
- Destroying outdated files according to protocol or moving them to inactive storage.
- Regularly auditing filing systems to confirm correct placement and trace missing records.
- Retrieving and forwarding records to relevant parties upon request.
- Executing authorized changes to the filing system.
- Carrying out any other duties assigned by Management.
Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in an administrative, accounts, or finance support role.
- Experience in microfinance, banking, or lending will be an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with sensitive client identity, financial, and legal documents without errors.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential client and financial information.
- Solid organizational skills with proven ability to manage digital and physical filing systems accurately and consistently.
- Ability to handle repetitive, process-driven tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and reconciliations without losing accuracy over time.
- Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to prepare clean and professional documents and statements.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
- Ability to follow strict procedures and protocols, including document retention and authorized filing changes, without deviation.
- Resilience and calmness when handling collections calls, account disputes, or difficult client interactions.
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
