Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

The Senior NOC Engineer provides Level 2 technical support, shift leadership, and advanced observability for Mixx by Yas fintech and mobile money infrastructure. The role is responsible for overseeing shift operational continuity, conducting complex root-cause investigations, managing critical incident escalations, and optimizing platform monitoring tools.

• Shift Leadership & Handover: Oversee operational shifts (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie), ensure seamless shift handover reports, and supervise NOC Operators’ daily performance.

• Advanced Incident Management: Act as an incident lead during high-severity disruptions, perform L2 end-to-end service troubleshooting, and manage vendor/supplier escalations. Senior NOC Engineer (2 Posts) at Mixx by Yas

• Observability & Analytics: Conduct deep-dive log analysis and performance correlation using Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus to identify root causes, system anomalies, and service trends.

• Platform Health & Metrics: Refine monitoring thresholds, enhance alerting frameworks, and translate technical disruptions into business impact reports for management.

• Mentorship: Coach junior NOC operators, support onboarding programs, and refine operational standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Master’s Degree or Engineering School Qualification in Computer Science, Networks & Telecommunications, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Experience: 4 to 8 years of technical experience in NOC, L2 Support, or DevOps environments.

• Technical Skills & Tools:

  • Monitoring & Observability: Advanced Grafana dashboarding, Prometheus (PromQL), and Kibana/ELK log analysis. Senior NOC Engineer (2 Posts) at Mixx by Yas

  • ITSM Systems: ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management using ServiceNow.

• Core Competencies: Ability to lead under pressure, strong analytical troubleshooting capabilities, vendor management, and effective technical communication skills.
