Job Overview

SBC Tanzania Limited (PEPSI Tanzania), a leading beverage company engaged in manufacturing, distributing, and selling PepsiCo brands across Tanzania, is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join its dynamic team at the Mbeya Plant. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant will lead financial reporting, manage cost accounting, drive closing cycles, ensure strict tax compliance, and maintain robust internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate financial reporting and analysis, identifying opportunities to continuously improve financial processes.

• Cost Accounting: Review and verify daily raw material movements and sales reports for complete accuracy prior to posting to books of accounts.

• Period-End Closing: Keep General Ledger (GL) accounts updated on a daily basis and lead daily, weekly, monthly, and year-end financial closings by the 4th or 5th of each month.

• Tax, Compliance & Audit: Maintain full tax compliance, conduct variance analyses, and lead audit support activities.

• Leadership & Execution: Collaborate cross-functionally across departments, mentor team members, and drive operational results under a “No Noise, Just Execution” mindset.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Professional Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA Modules holder).

• Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant operational accounting experience.

Core Competencies & Skills

• Advanced proficiency in cost accounting and inventory management.

• High level of expertise in Tier-1 financial accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

• Strong business acumen and analytical problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent cross-functional leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
