Role Overview
Lake Cement Ltd is seeking a qualified Safety Officer to join its manufacturing plant team. The successful candidate will enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, ensure strict legal compliance with national regulatory bodies, and maintain high safety standards across plant operations. Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with key regulatory bodies including OSHA, NEMC, and Fire authorities to ensure full legal compliance.

HSE Policy Execution: Implement approved HSE plans and policies, performing daily plant inspections and HSE audits with timely corrective actions.

Trainings & Drills: Conduct HSE onboarding inductions, ongoing refresher trainings, fire drills, and safety workshops for staff.

Emergency & Hygiene Management: Oversee emergency preparedness, response planning, and maintain proper plant hygiene standards.

Environmental Management: Coordinate pollution control, waste management, recycling programs, and conduct environmental impact assessments.

Risk & Incident Reporting: Perform comprehensive risk assessments, lead accident investigations, and maintain clear reporting records.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences or a related field.

Certification: Professional Health and Safety qualification recognized by NOSHC.

Experience: 3 or more years of field experience in Cement, Construction, or Oil & Gas sectors.

Legal Knowledge: Thorough understanding of OSHA, NEMC, and Fire regulations and policies.

Core Competencies: Excellent reporting, strong communication, and proficiency in standard computer applications.
