Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

The Revenue Assurance Executive is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and plugging revenue leakages across Airtel Tanzania’s GSM networks and billing environments. The role maintains regulatory and internal compliance, conducts complex SQL data mining, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure zero revenue loss on new product launches.

• RA Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Maintain GSM compliance levels above 99%, enforce Revenue Assurance SOPs, and continually audit service and revenue paths to minimize leakages.

• Data Analytics & Insights: Utilize DBMS and SQL queries to analyze subscriber/revenue KPIs, detect trend anomalies, and monitor product performance.

• Product Testing & UAT: Partner with Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) to evaluate complete system architectures, perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on new products, and ensure “First Time Right” implementation.

• Reporting & Escalation: Issue weekly and monthly management/regulatory reports, conduct root-cause analysis on loss incidents, and track audit findings for satisfactory closure.

• Audit & Synergy Standards: Embed Group-wide RAFM initiatives, maintain standard UAT templates, and ensure strict compliance with internal and external audit scorecards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Graduate Degree in ICT, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in Telecommunications, ICT, or Billing Assurance environments.

• Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language) and relational database management (DBMS) is mandatory.

• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of telecom charging principles, tariff models, interconnect, and roaming billing mechanisms.

• Soft Skills: Clear written and verbal communication, cross-functional collaboration, project management awareness, and strategic analytical thinking.
