Position: Quality Assurance Officer
Location: Moshi – Kilimanjaro
Starting Date: Immediately
A “Quality Assurance Officer” who will monitor the quality aspects of incoming raw materials to our company and the products that are ready to go to the market. He will also ensure that manufactured products meet the specified quality standards set by the company before being sent to customers. He / She will be also assisting the production manager in all production activities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Carry out quality assessment measures of all the products ready to go to the market and incoming raw materials
- Sampling products to determine whether they meet specifications and quality standards, and initiating corrective action if necessary;
- Analyzing quality assurance data and making recommendations for improvement to management; 4. Training and assisting operators to carry out their quality control function
- Analyze and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements
- Take a thorough look at the plans, specifications, and blueprints to understand the product requirements
- Reject all the incoming raw materials that fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue to the concerned department at the earliest
- Resolving quality-related issues and adhering to deadlines, and make sure that the company is comply with government regulations
- Providing training to the quality assurance team
- Prepare documentation of the inspection process, which includes detailed reports and performance records
- Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met
- Guide the production team about the quality control issues to enhance the quality of the product 13. Monitor customer satisfaction levels
- Monitor the production phase at various levels
- Assisting the production manager in all production activities including preparations of production reports i.e. daily and monthly report.
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS
- Degree/Diploma or equivalent in either of the following food science and technology, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or manufacturing engineering
- 3–5-year experience working at distillery supervising distillation of spirits
- Experience in managing team
- Proven ability to use best practice manufacturing technique
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Profound knowledge of quality control standards
