The Planning Officer will assist with the Economists Talk Magazine Unit’s content production and strategic planning. Coordinating several facets of the editing process is part of this job to guarantee timely and excellent publication.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the creation of the magazine’s content strategy and editorial calendar.
• Collaborate with analysts, researchers, and contributors to obtain data and guarantee on-time contributions.
• Make sure the content complies with the goals and standards of the magazine by conducting editorial assessments.
• Help with event planning and coordination pertaining to the magazine’s themes.
• Work together to include economic analysis into the editorial content with the Senior Economist and the Economist.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, planning, or a similar discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Two years or more of experience in comparable roles or editorial planning.
• Exceptional project management and organizing abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of economic theories and practices.
