Position: Phone Verification/Underwriting Supervisor

Role Description

 

This is a contract Phone Verification/Underwriting Supervisor role located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. As a Phone Verification/Underwriting Supervisor, your main responsibility will be to supervise the phone verification process and underwriting functions, performing comprehensive quality assurance on both processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. You’ll be responsible for the coordination, monitoring, and management of the team to ensure that processes are compliant with policies and procedures. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the achievement of the group’s objectives and ensure operational standards are met.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • At least three years’ experience in underwriting or phone verification processes
  • Excellent supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
  • Excellent knowledge of underwriting principles, credit policies, and eligibility criteria, as well as phone verification procedures and quality assurance processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Experience working in the financial services industry is preferred
  • Experience with relevant software applications, such as CRMs, loan management systems, and underwriting platforms, is preferred
