Job Description:
As the People and Culture (HR) Manager, you will be an integral part of our team, providing leadership and insight to drive improved performance through employee engagement, development, and training. You will be responsible for all Human Resource functions at the corporate level and serve as a consultant and coach to Lodge managers and supervisors. Your areas of responsibility will include recruiting, on-boarding, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, change management, and communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the leadership team to provide thoughtful input on business and people-related actions.
Manage talent acquisition for both exempt and non-exempt staff, including recruiting, applicant tracking, compensation analysis, and onboarding.
Facilitate organizational development efforts, including careers mapping, succession planning, development planning, goal setting, and performance management.
Address employee concerns, manage employee investigations, and provide recommendations for resolution.
Act as a consultant to company leadership on matters such as promotions, transfers, layoffs, terminations, and employee relations.
Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labor laws and internal policies, creating a positive fun environment for all.
Drive positive employee relations and implement team building and engagement initiatives.
Oversee administrative tasks, including custody of all company SOPs, wage and performance reviews, job descriptions, leaves of absence, drug screenings, exit interviews, employment data, and disciplinary actions.
Implement and manage HR policies, procedures, and handbooks.
Develop and improve standard HR processes for continuous improvement.
Oversee workers’ annual, maternity and sick leave claims and return-to-work transitions.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with legal HR and company SOPs requirements.
Assist in developing and managing the HR budget.
Perform other related duties as required.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Law or an equivalent field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an HR Assistant, Consultant, Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a luxury brand hotels or lodges.
Knowledge of Tanzanian labor laws and cultural understanding is mandatory.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Ability to work under pressure periodically and manage multiple tasks to achieve a specific target.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
Mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative, and an enthusiastic team player.
Confidence in working independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
