Rift Valley Cooperative Union (RIVACU LTD) is a Secondary Cooperative Union based in Babati, Manyara region. RIVACU Ltd was registered in 1988 under the Cooperative Act of 1984. RIVACU LTD is currently operating under the Co-operative Societies Act No 06 of 2013.

RIVACU Ltd wishes to invite all suitable and qualified Tanzanian to apply and fill the following available vacancy:

OPERATIONAL MANAGER (1 Vacancy).

Nature and scope

The successful candidate will report to General Manager. He/She will be responsible for all operations issues related to production, logistics, Storage, processing, marketing of UNION member’s products. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• To advice General Manager on all activities relating to crop production and operations;
• To manage stores and warehouse for the crop production inputs;
• To plan and implement all procurement and logistics for cotton farming and other related variety crops;
• To coordinate and manage the marketing activities of the Crop;
• To receive and work on information regarding production, processing and marketing of member’s products;
• To provide trainings to enhance productivity to farmers through field/extension officers
• To champion the campaign on promotion of value chain in member’s agricultural produce;
• To prepare of season budget of farm input’s requirement
• To perform any other duties as may be assigned by General Manager,

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture General/Agribusiness, Agro-Economics, or related discipline from a recognized higher learning institution (Master’s Degree will be an added advantage)
• Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in a similar position in a reputable organization;
