Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

The NOC Engineer provides 24/7 continuous system monitoring, initial incident triage, and service health tracking across Mixx by Yas fintech and telecommunications platforms. The position acts as the first line of defense for real-time fault detection, ticket logging, basic log analysis, and coordinated technical escalations across the regional hub.

• Real-time Monitoring & Alert Handling: Continuously track GSOC dashboards (Grafana, Zabbix) for performance baselines, threshold breaches, and platform degradation.

• Incident Lifecycle Management: Create, classify, prioritize, and manage incident tickets in ServiceNow following established ITIL workflows and escalation matrix rules.

• Basic Troubleshooting & Log Analysis: Utilize Kibana to search, filter, and analyze system logs to assist in initial fault isolation and root cause analysis.

• Shift Operations & Coordination: Execute designated shift tasks, coordinate with Senior NOC Engineers on major disruptions, and issue accurate shift handover reports. NOC Engineer (5 Posts) at Mixx by Yas

• Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear updates on open incidents, operational impact assessments, and remediation status across internal teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Technical Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Networks, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience in NOC operations, IT Service Desk, DevOps support, or systems monitoring environments.

• Technical Skills & Tools:

  • Monitoring Tools: Hands-on experience with Grafana dashboards, basic Prometheus metrics, and Kibana log search tools.

  • ITSM Platforms: Ticketing and incident management experience using ServiceNow, JIRA, or similar platforms.

  • Networking & System Foundations: OSI model, TCP/IP concepts, basic Linux command-line skills, and runbook execution.

• Core Competencies: Detail-oriented, ability to remain calm under operational stress, strong written/verbal communication, and willingness to work flexible shift rosters.
