About the Role
Masika Ventures is looking for an analytical and proactive Finance Officer to manage core financial transactions, financial reporting, and compliance across its portfolio of companies in Dar es Salaam. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to track financial performance, monitor budgets, and drive operational efficiency in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations & General Ledger: Oversee day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense tracking, and chart of accounts maintenance.

Reporting & Analysis: Assist in drafting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; analyze historical data to provide profit enhancement recommendations.

Budgeting & Variance Monitoring: Compare actual company performance against projections, identifying key variances and cost-saving opportunities.

Taxation & Compliance: Support compliance with local Tanzanian statutory regulations and tax requirements.
Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

At least 2 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.

Professional accounting certifications and experience with ERP software are distinct advantages.

Strong analytical, communication, and financial reporting skills combined with high discretion and integrity.
