Rift Valley Cooperative Union (RIVACU LTD) is a Secondary Cooperative Union based in Babati, Manyara region. RIVACU Ltd was registered in 1988 under the Cooperative Act of 1984. RIVACU LTD is currently operating under the Co-operative Societies Act No 06 of 2013.
RIVACU Ltd wishes to invite all suitable and qualified Tanzanian to apply and fill the following available vacancy:

MARKETING OFFICER 

Nature and Scope

The successful candidate will report to Operational Manager. He/She will be responsible for all marketing activities related to the UNION members’ agricultural produce. This includes developing marketing strategies, identifying new market opportunities, strengthening value chains, promoting value addition, and ensuring sustainable market access for all agricultural products.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing plans for all agricultural produce in line with the Union’s operational strategy;
• Identify, engage, and secure new markets both locally and internationally;
• Coordinate sales, distribution, and promotional activities of Union members’ produce;
• Conduct market research and provide regular market intelligence reports to the Operations Manager;
• Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms of sale with buyers and other relevant parties;
• Promote value addition, branding, and quality standards of agricultural products;
• Liaise with relevant crop boards and regulatory bodies regarding market     prices and regulations;
• Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and market trends, recommending improvements as necessary;
• Perform any other marketing-related duties assigned by the Agricultural Manager;

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Agro-Economics, or related field from a recognized higher learning institution;
• Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in a similar position in a reputable organization;
