Role Overview
Maersk is seeking an organized and solution-oriented Project Coordinator A&R – EAA to take ownership of operational execution across Ocean and Logistics within Maersk Project Logistics (MPL). The successful candidate will oversee the complete shipment lifecycle—from file creation to final closure—ensuring alignment with customer requirements, Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards, and local regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Operational Execution: Manage end-to-end customer shipments, including file creation, daily EDI updates, SO/PO processing, inland delivery coordination, and file closure in operational systems.

Customer Relationship & Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, understanding supply chain urgencies, aligning with expectations, and delivering proactive solutions. Maersk Job Vacancy — Project Coordinator

Shipment Tracking & Deviation Management: Track shipments proactively and notify clients of any transport plan deviations alongside recommended contingency solutions.

Supplier & Logistics Coordination: Partner with external suppliers and partners to prepare transport plans while protecting Customer Service Instructions (CSI).

Compliance & Optimization: Ensure execution adheres strictly to compliance and QHSE standards, focusing on operational efficiency, standardization, and cost optimization.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in logistics operational execution, freight forwarding, or project transport coordination. Maersk Job Vacancy

Regulatory Knowledge: Sound understanding of local Tanzanian import/export and transport regulations.
