Position: Quality Control Operator
The incumbent is responsible for monitoring production process and control materials to ensure conformity to product specifications and, perform various material/ product tests during different stages of production according to quality plan. Also, to make recommendations and follow up as prescribed in JTI quality standards.
Requirements
- The periodic collection and recording of samples for process confirmation and QA analysis as per JTI QA Manual, Quality Plan and Process Control (Physical measurements, visual control) as stipulated in JTI Quality manual and Quality plan
- Timely provide product quality feedback report at the end of each shift to the rest of Quality team and MP technical team in order to support proper planning of corrective / preventive actions. Responsible to issue
- Corrective Action Request Form (QMF 025) for any unresolved issue at the end of his/her shift. Investigate source of non conformities in line with QUIP procedure/Work instructions and JTI QA Manual to minimize non conforming product in the market
- Follow up Change Over procedure in pre-production, start-up, material tests, prototype activities to avoid NTM and blend mix up in collaboration with shift supervisors, machine operators and technicians
- Ensure that all QC instruments are operational and calibration checks are performed as per instrument manual and relevant procedures . Report Non-conforming equipments to QC Technical Support and confirm product after machine maintenance.
- Perform proper inspection of all incoming materials from receiving warehouse before use at production.
- Perform data collection, recording, analysis and timely reporting for any allocated projects e.g. NPD, Process control, machine qualification, Equipment Calibration; using defined QC database.
- Take reasonable care of the health and safety of yourself and of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions (what they do or do not do), and cooperate with the employer on health and safety matters to prevent injuries and ill health.
