Who are you
- Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC hardware, including Microsoft platform.
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Extensive equipment support experience with PC’s.
- Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards.
- Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
- Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
- Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.
- Aware of CCTV Protocols, installation and management
- Help desk support, knowledge of Spiceworks is an added an advantage
What you’ll do
- Ensuring all tickets are attended to in a timely manner
- Responding to client support queries ensuring proper documentation on the ticketing system as per procedures.
- Diagnosing issues with computer software, peripherals, and hardware.
- Running software diagnostic tools and physically inspecting hardware systems.
- Training clients through basic problem-solving processes.
- Installing and upgrading hardware and software systems as per required standards.
- Maintaining and ensure all school computers are being prepared well to meet the user effective performance.
- This by ensuring the latest update for both OS and security application are in place.
- Ensure all supplies/consumables are in place and inform for outage stock
- Works in conjunction with Head of IT to ensure all system configurations and modifications are documented.
- Works in conjunction with Head of IT in the preparation, implementation and follow up of IT department procedures
- Assist in writing of IT equipment’s gate passes in cases when the Head of IT is not at work.
What we’re looking for
- A university graduate majoring in Information technology, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- At least two years of experience in a similar position.
- Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC hardware, including Microsoft platform.
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Extensive equipment support experience with PC’s.
- Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards.
- Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
- Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation.
- Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required and properly implement.
