Invitation For Tender For Construction Of Eight Classrooms, Two Offices

And Toilets At Chamboni, Micheweni – Pemba

SOS Children’s Villages Zanzibar is a local Non-Government Organization affiliated to SOS Children’s Villages International, a worldwide child care and protection organization which focused on ensuring that children and young people without parental care or at risk of losing it grow up with the care, relationships and support they need to become their strongest selves. Established 70 years ago, SOS Children’s Villages International currently is operating 135 countries around the world. SOS children’s Villages has been working in Zanzibar since 1991 implementing its programs in both Unguja and Pemba.

SOS Children’s Villages is now inviting sealed Tenders from eligible contractors registered/capable of being registered in class six (VI) and above to carrying out the Construction of Eight (8) Classrooms, Two (2) Offices and (8) Toilets at Chamboni, Micheweni – Pemba.
Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering specified in SOS Children’s Village Procurement Policy.

Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Admin & HR at SOS Children’s Village Zanzibar Office Located at Mombasa Street from 26th February 2024 at 9:00hrs to 14:00hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English language may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the email address; zanzibar@sos-tanzania.org or physical address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzania Shillings One Hundred Thousand Only (100,000/=).

Payment should be made direct to, SOS Children’s Village Zanzibar through the following account; Tanzania Shillings (Tsh) Account No. 04001430001 PBZ Bank Mwanakwerekwe Branch.

The bidder shall submit Bank pay – in – slip as evidence of the deposited amount.

All Tenders in one original plus one copy properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address:

at or before 14:00hrs on 11th March 2024.

Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the SOS Children’s Village Library Hall.

Late Tenders portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, and Tenders not received, Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
