ICT Systems Administrator Job Vacancy at ALAF (Dar es Salaam)

a. Installs, configure and deploy server hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and patches to support and maintain effective network service operations throughout ALAF.

b. Manages, deploys, configures, and maintains servers in a virtualized and traditional environment.

c. Supports, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains server issues and security for enterprise and large-scale applications.

d. Assists in creating scripts to monitor systems, diagnostics, resolve issues, and automate routine tasks.

e. Configures systems for high availability including strategies for backup and recovery, failover, load balancing, and full redundancy.

f. Analyses and resolves issues, gathers information to identify needs, and evaluates systems and network requirements.

g. Diagnosis and resolves complex software, server, and networking issues

h. Creates, and maintains technical documentation, training material, standards, reports, and other documents as assigned.

i. Provide End-user support and administration of Office 365 applications

j. Handles all firewall, Active directory, and Antivirus issues.

k. Monitors network use and internet bandwidth optimization

l. User setups and provide system access to ICT resources

m. Sets in place all required systems for protecting data integrity and protection through regular monitoring and reviewing of security systems and backups

n. Assess the efficiency of the network system, network use network faults, provide technical support for people using the network, monitor network use, and handles all network maintenance issues

o. Manage and provide oversight for the implementation of CCTV surveillance systems.

p. Manage network infrastructure, and internet performance, communicate with the ISP for network performance, and resolve any outage within SLA.

q. Analyses existing IT solutions and recommends for future improvements.

r. Any other duties as deemed necessary by ICT Manager

a. Bachelor in Computer related field with IT Certifications in Office 365 Administration.

b. IT Certification such as CCNA, SAP ERP support to End users, and Certification on ITIL

c. Three (03) years of work experience in the position

Key Performance Indicators:

a. 99.99% performance and uptime of Network, Telephony, CCTV, and Video conferencing systems

b. Ensure 99% availability of ESD printing and centralizing printing service

c. Ensure 99% security and update of all computers and Servers

d. Resolution of all systems & infrastructure-related service requests as per SLA

e. Provide monthly availability & RCA reports of all systems & infrastructure Additional/specific work requirements:

f. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to non-technical users

g. Ability to anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software and hardware problems on servers, workstations, and networks as well as escalate incidents as necessary
