Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to manage and execute all HR administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will support the HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations, handling employee-related services, regulatory compliance, and ensuring the company’s HR practices are aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers.
- Conduct employee onboarding and orientation, ensuring new hires are well-integrated into the company.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
- Maintain and update the HR information system (HRIS) to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Coordinate employee training and development programs.
- Support performance management processes, including performance reviews and development plans.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices.
- Assist in employee relations activities, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Prepare HR reports and presentations for management as needed.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and employee experience.
Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Officer, HR Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and labor laws.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
- Experience in the financial services or microfinance sector is a plus
